Across the schedule, the speed cubing drama continued in Pyraminx, where 166 competitors contested two rounds. Aniket Das from India captured the title with a tournament-best 2.47 average and a 2.13 single solve. Cameron Miller secured the silver spot with an average of 3.17, matching the exact 3.17 mark posted by third-place finisher Aaron Paskow in a tightly contested finish. The podium placements reflected an international mix, with USA solvers taking 15 total podium spots alongside two for Hong Kong and one for India.

The tournament floor at Berkeley Summer 2023 also saw incredible individual breakthroughs from competitors who made huge strides in their personal development. Gavin Shattuck competed across five events, logging a first ever attempt at Pyraminx with a 13.69, a first 5x5x5 Cube attempt of 3:22.93, and slicing 75.4 percent off his 2x2x2 Cube personal best down to 1.82. Gavin Cardoso took on three events, posting a first Pyraminx mark of 22.28, a first 3x3x3 Cube solve of 50.71, and improving his 2x2x2 Cube best by 59 percent to 15.90. David Broom entered five events, achieving a best finish of 62nd in 5x5x5 Cube, an 11.2 percent improvement to 2:11.52 on the 5x5x5, and a 65.7 percent drop to 1.45 on the 2x2x2 Cube. Meanwhile, Aarit Nellore improved his 3x3x3 One-Handed personal best by 63.3 percent to 33.40, took 62.9 percent off his Pyraminx best down to 5.86, and improved his 3x3x3 mark by 24.5 percent to 14.95.

The personal milestones continued throughout the day for competitors tackling new disciplines. Baron Zhang entered three events, logging a first attempt at 2x2x2 Cube of 6.27 while achieving a 57.3 percent cut to 22.82 in the 3x3x3 Cube and a 38 percent drop in Pyraminx to 5.37. Jonas Bell entered three events, trying the 5x5x5 Cube for the first time with a 2:31.59 to finish 73rd, while also lowering his 2x2x2 Cube personal best by 54.5 percent to 1.60. Wesley Tseng took on five events, registering a first 3x3x3 One-Handed solve of 38.78, a first 5x5x5 Cube attempt of 1:46.68 to finish 45th, and a 43.3 percent drop on 2x2x2 to 2.19. Aiden Lee tackled five events, recording a first Pyraminx solve of 10.46, a first 5x5x5 Cube solve of 3:11.14, and a 28.2 percent improvement in 3x3x3 One-Handed to 23.68.

Specialized events delivered masterclasses in technique, led by Anto Kam representing Hong Kong. Kam secured two gold medals, first winning the 127-competitor 3x3x3 One-Handed event with a 12.39 average and a 10.13 single, finishing ahead of Jason Ostdiek at 12.98 and Ethan Jan at 13.30. Kam then dominated the 3x3x3 Blindfolded division across two rounds of 45 competitors, taking gold with a 19.49 average and a best single of 17.25. Nolan Yiu claimed second with a 24.81 average, while Ben Yu completed the blindfolded podium in 1:13.95.

The curtain came down on Berkeley Summer 2023 with memorable achievements across all six disciplines.
