With a blindfold firmly in place and complete concentration required across the memorisation and execution phases, Yifan Wang delivered the weekend standout moment by claiming the 3x3x3 Blindfolded title with a blistering 14.81 single. Across two intense rounds in a field of 27 competitors, the margin for error was non-existent. Wang held off a formidable international challenge, topping Tommy Cherry of the United States who registered a 16.06 single and Jieyu Yang who secured third place on the podium with a 16.42 effort.

That precision set the stage for an extraordinary weekend of speed cubing at the Dahongmen International Convention & Exhibition Center. Staged from May 17 to May 18, Beijing Summer 2025 drew 302 competitors to the Chinese capital for 10 distinct events spanning 24 rounds. The bustling WCA competition brought together athletes from China, Korea, Mongolia, and the United States, producing high-calibre results across classic Rubik's Cube formats, larger mechanisms, and specialised rotational puzzles.

The premier 3x3x3 Cube event drew 270 entrants through four competitive rounds to decide the flagship 3x3 results. Yiheng Wang captured victory by putting together a remarkable 4.42 winning average, anchored by a best single of 3.45. The podium was an all-China sweep as Xuanyi Geng secured the second spot with a 4.72 average and Yufang Du took third place with a 4.77 average, demonstrating tremendous technical consistency at the highest tier of speedcubing.

In the smaller and faster categories, lightning reflexes were on full display. Ziyu Ye claimed the 2x2x2 Cube crown with a 1.17 average and a 0.97 single, prevailing over Jiazhou Li who averaged 1.26 and Yiheng Wang who averaged 1.49. Li bounced back emphatically in Square-1, taking gold with a 6.80 winning average and a 4.57 single. Meanwhile, Lingkun Jiang stormed through three rounds of Pyraminx to win with a 1.36 average, ahead of Shuda Huang at 1.85 and Bofu Cao at 2.08.

Beyond the podium battles, significant milestones were reached by dedicated solvers improving their personal benchmarks. Zijian Shen entered five events at Beijing Summer 2025, taking on his first official attempt at Pyraminx for an 8.83 single and his first Clock attempt for a 14.63, while dropping his Skewb personal best by 75.8 percent to 6.54. Congxi Liu contested nine events, charting a best finish of 15th in Megaminx, logging a first Clock try of 9.01, improving his Pyraminx best by 63.8 percent to 4.27, and cutting his Megaminx mark by 7.6 percent to 57.98.

The progress continued across various disciplines for other rising participants. Chenxi Zhao took on four events, completing a first 4x4x4 Cube attempt at 41.95, while lowering his Pyraminx best by 54.3 percent to 2.73 and his 3x3x3 Cube mark by 23.4 percent to 7.78. Sijian Zhao completed his first Clock solve at 20.89, alongside a 51.2 percent Skewb personal best of 5.43 and a 27.9 percent Pyraminx improvement to 2.74. Yi Yang recorded a first 2x2x2 Cube solve of 3.11, a first Pyraminx solve of 7.00, and a 25.8 percent 3x3x3 improvement to 7.14. Ruiyang Sun rounded out the strong individual campaigns with a first Pyraminx mark of 5.75, a first 4x4x4 Cube time of 52.38, and a 23.3 percent cut to his 2x2x2 Cube best at 3.86.

The bigger puzzles and specialised hardware produced equally commanding winning times. Kaichen Huang prevailed in the 4x4x4 Cube, posting a 23.34 average and a 20.30 single to best Ziyu Wu at 23.90 and Heyu Fu at 25.13. Wu subsequently dominated the Megaminx event, winning with a 28.25 average and a 26.42 single, comfortably ahead of Nachuan Sun at 42.28 and Dongzhe Li at 43.75. In Skewb, Kaixi Guo took top honours with a 1.77 average.

Single-handed technique and clockwork precision completed the tournament schedule. Zhen Chen captured the 3x3x3 One-Handed title with an 8.92 average, leading Zixuan Xu at 9.66 and Korea Yoochan Hong at 10.26. In Clock, Haoxuan Zhang secured first place with a 3.47 average, holding off Mongolia Ulsbold Javkhlantugs at 3.98 and Kaixi Guo at 5.14. The dynamic cubing competition in Beijing, China closed another memorable chapter for the 2025 season.

With 26 podium places claimed by host nation solvers alongside podium honors earned by competitors representing Korea, Mongolia, and the United States, the gathering celebrated elite dexterity across every bracket. From the unseen calculations of blindfolded solving to the mechanical mastery of the big cubes, the Dahongmen venue delivered top-tier action throughout the two-day meet.

大红门国际会展中心的大厅内座无虚席，计时器的滴答声与魔方转动的脆响交织在一起。2025年5月17日至18日，来自各地的302名魔方高手汇聚于北京，在为期两天的密集赛程中展开速度与技巧的争夺。作为一场高规格的WCA魔方比赛，现场共设立了10个项目、24轮次的激烈比拼，整体参赛阵容实力强劲，晋级之路竞争极为激烈。

在最具分量的三阶魔方项目中，共有270名选手同场竞技，争夺通往四轮晋级战的有限名额。王艺衡 Yiheng Wang在层层重围中展现出极高水准，以单次3.45秒、平均4.42秒的绝佳成绩夺得冠军。耿暄一 Xuanyi Geng以4.72秒的平均成绩获得亚军，杜昱方 Yufang Du则以4.77秒摘得季军，三位选手的决赛平均成绩均突破了5秒大关。

二阶魔方同样迎来了172名选手的庞大规模，选手们在三轮较量中不断刷新极限。叶梓渝 Ziyu Ye在决赛中发挥出色，以单次0.97秒、平均1.17秒登顶。李佳洲 Jiazhou Li凭借1.26秒的平均成绩紧随其后获得亚军，王艺衡 Yiheng Wang则以1.49秒的平均成绩位列第三，领奖台争夺异常激烈。

四阶魔方共有108名选手参与两轮角逐，黄楷宸 Kaichen Huang以23.34秒的平均成绩力拔头筹，并在比赛中做出20.30秒的单次成绩。吴子钰 Ziyu Wu以23.90秒位居次席，付荷语 Heyu Fu以25.13秒获得第三名。此外，在五魔方赛场上，吴子钰 Ziyu Wu展现绝对统治力，以28.25秒的优异平均成绩夺冠，孙纳川 Nachuan Sun与李东哲 Dongzhe Li分获二、三名。

赛场的精彩不仅存在于领奖台上，许多选手在多项挑战中实现了个人突破。宋彦骏 Yanjun Song在参加的4个项目中迎来了四阶魔方的生涯首秀并取得47.94秒，其二阶魔方成绩达到1.75秒，较此前的3.29秒提升了46.8%，三阶单手也以13.44秒较原纪录19.88秒提速32.4%。于佳楠 Jianan Yu兼顾5个项目，不仅首次尝试Square-1拿到42.01秒，金字塔魔方更投出2.88秒的个人新高，相比此前的4.82秒提升达40.2%。郭泽原 Zeyuan Guo出战8个项目，在三阶盲拧中取得第10名的个人最好名次，并将盲拧成绩从2分46.25秒大幅缩减45.6%至1分30.49秒，五魔方也以1分14.98秒提速22.9%。

更多选手的稳步前行同样令人瞩目。王昊 Hao Wang出战4个项目，完成了三阶单手的生涯首秀录得21.68秒，四阶魔方以44.59秒较原先的1分04.58秒提升了31%，三阶魔方也跑出11.11秒的新纪录。苑洪皓 Honghao Yuan参加5个项目，首次挑战三阶单手录得33.64秒，斜方魔方成绩从6.73秒提升24.8%至5.06秒。何明骏 Mingjun He参与了7个项目，迎来斜方魔方首秀并做出11.10秒，金字塔项目以6.24秒较原成绩8.26秒进步24.5%，三阶单手亦以15.85秒提速20.9%。

异形魔方与特色项目同样高潮迭起。金字塔魔方决赛中，姜凌坤 Lingkun Jiang凭借单次1.23秒、平均1.36秒的极速夺金，黄黍达 Shuda Huang与曹柏辅 Bofu Cao分别以1.85秒和2.08秒完赛。三阶单手赛场，陈震 Zhen Chen以8.92秒平均成绩夺冠，徐子轩 Zixuan Xu与韩国选手Yoochan Hong分获亚军和季军。魔表项目则由张浩轩 Haoxuan Zhang以3.47秒平均成绩折桂，蒙古选手Ulsbold Javkhlantugs以3.98秒获得第二。

盲拧与其余项目的争夺同样扣人心弦。在需要极强记忆与还原能力的三阶盲拧赛场，王逸帆 Yifan Wang凭借14.81秒的惊人单次成绩勇夺桂冠，美国选手Tommy Cherry与杨杰予 Jieyu Yang分列二三名。此外，郭铠希 Kaixi Guo以1.77秒平均成绩夺得斜方魔方冠军，李佳洲 Jiazhou Li则以6.80秒平均成绩将Square-1冠军收入囊中。

经过两个比赛日的激烈对抗，Beijing Summer 2025在各项最终决选后圆满落幕。从数百名选手参与的基础项目到高难度的盲拧与异形比拼，每一轮晋级都充满艰辛与挑战。选手们在各项较量中展现出的速度追求与竞技水准，为这场在北京举办的魔方盛会画上了圆满句号。
