David Vujasić Dominates Banja Luka Open 2024 as Bogdan Čumić Claims 3x3x3 CrownEnglish

As the 2024 summer calendar reached its peak across Southeast Europe, David Vujasić produced a commanding performance at the Banja Luka Open 2024, securing gold medals across seven separate categories. Held on July 20 and July 21 at the Dom omladine / Youth center in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the two-day gathering served as a key mid-season proving ground for regional talent. A field of 40 competitors contested 19 rounds across 13 distinct disciplines, testing everything from small mechanical dexterity to large-cube stamina.

The premier 3x3x3 Cube final provided the weekend with its sharpest contest, featuring 39 competitors battling across three complete stages. Bogdan Čumić of Serbia captured the championship with an 8.90 winning average, supported by a rapid best single of 7.87. Vujasić pushed the pace closely to earn second place with a 9.04 average, while Mihael Vidoš of Bosnia and Herzegovina rounded out the podium in third with a 9.26 mark. These standout 3x3 results capped a high-intensity final round that highlighted the sharp competition standard.

Beyond the classic Rubik's Cube, Vujasić established total authority in the multi-layered puzzle events. The Croatian solver collected victories in the 4x4x4 Cube with a 37.26 average, outlasting Čumić at 37.79 and Matic Omulec at 39.89. He then secured top honors in the 5x5x5 Cube with a mark of 1:08.38 and led the 6x6x6 Cube final with an average of 1:59.23. The 7x7x7 Cube contest, however, went to local standout Andrej Mikulić of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who delivered a winning average of 2:46.46 to edge Vujasić's 3:01.50.

Vujasić's versatility extended across specialty formats, including a sweep of the 2x2x2 Cube with a 2.62 average, Square-1 in 14.59, and 3x3x3 One-Handed with an 18.52 average alongside a blistering 11.56 single. The Croatian competitor also displayed the memorisation and execution demanded by the 3x3x3 Blindfolded division, recording a winning average of 1:51.72. The remaining titles were shared by Slovenia's Jakob Kitak, who took Pyraminx with a 3.19 average, Skewb with a 3.12 average, and 3x3x3 Fewest Moves with 36 moves, while Čumić added a Megaminx victory with an average of 42.09.

Behind the top of the podiums, the official speedcubing tables revealed major technical leaps across the wider field at Banja Luka Open 2024. By the time the final awards were distributed, Banja Luka Open 2024 had delivered both elite individual milestones for titleholders like Vujasić and Čumić and important developmental benchmarks for the broader solving community.

As competitors pack away their timers and look ahead to the next stage of the competitive season, Banja Luka Open 2024 stands as a definitive highlight in the regional racing calendar.
