The one-day WCA competition, staged on June 30, 2024, at the Janma Wellness Club, brought together 28 competitors across four distinct disciplines. Across five rounds of tournament play, participants engaged in high-stakes speedcubing, navigating both classic twisty puzzles and specialised challenges. India-based solvers asserted significant authority on home turf by securing nine podium spots, while competitors representing the USA claimed three top-three finishes.

The 3x3x3 Cube contest delivered exceptional drama as Ramesh secured his second major win of the day. Facing a field of 28 contenders in the classic Rubik's Cube main event, Ramesh recorded a winning average of 9.10 alongside a best single of 8.31. The 3x3 results proved remarkably close, with Sukruth Sateesh Kumar taking second place at a 9.30 average and Mohith B securing third with a 9.43 mark.

In the 2x2x2 Cube, where margins were slim, Ramesh's 2.67 average kept him ahead of strong challengers. Mohith B earned the silver podium step with an average of 3.05 and a single of 2.25. Rohan Dharmak of the USA finished third overall with a 3.25 average, highlighted by a rapid 2.01 single solve. The round saw notable performances down the order, including Nirmal Reddy finishing with a 3.96 average and Prakhyat Sandeep Padiyar recording a 4.03 average.

Beyond the sprint formats, Sukruth Sateesh Kumar turned in a commanding display to capture the 3x3x3 One-Handed crown. Across two rounds of play, Kumar led a 25-competitor bracket by logging a winning average of 14.20 and a best single of 12.35 in the final. Mohith B secured second place with an average of 15.69, while Rohan Dharmak took third place with a 16.34 average.

Pyraminx competition added further silverware to Ramesh's tally, where he produced a winning average of 2.52 and a top single of 2.30 to conquer a 22-person field. Nirmal Reddy claimed the runner-up position with a 3.86 average, and Rohan Dharmak rounded out the podium in third place at 4.35. The victory completed an impressive three-event sweep for Ramesh across the competition schedule.

Away from the top steps of the podium, several solvers achieved major milestones during Bangalore Cube Fest C 2024. Anirudh Dwivedi took on four events, securing a 20th-place finish in Pyraminx with a 6.41 personal best that improved on his previous mark by 74.8 percent, alongside his first ever attempt in 3x3x3 One-Handed at 1:40.25 and a first 2x2x2 Cube solve of 15.62. Anshul Harish took 14th in 2x2x2 Cube with a first attempt of 2.62, completed a first one-handed solve of 38.52, and dropped his 3x3x3 Cube mark to 16.80, which was 41.2 percent faster than before. Sanchith Sharath Bhoopalam posted a 49.7 percent drop to reach a 7.32 in 2x2x2 Cube, improved his Pyraminx best by 9 percent to 13.34, and registered his first one-handed attempt at 1:04.41. Aarav Koul reached 10th in the main event with a 9.99 personal best and improved his Pyraminx mark by 53.3 percent to 6.76.

The progress continued across all puzzle categories for rising talents. Prajwal Kishore achieved a 7th-place finish in 3x3x3 One-Handed with a 19.69 personal best, while shaving 39.2 percent off his 2x2x2 Cube mark to 2.93 and 12 percent off his Pyraminx mark to 10.12. Joel Vinod Jacob placed 6th in the 3x3x3 Cube, posting a 4.76 Pyraminx best that was 44.7 percent faster than his past record and an improved 20.66 one-handed single. Ayush Anand earned 15th in the main event, cutting 36.2 percent in one-handed solving to 24.99, 20.8 percent in 2x2x2 Cube to 5.98, and 15.3 percent in 3x3x3 Cube to 13.39. Harsh Raj entered four events, posting a first ever attempt in Pyraminx of 6.31 to place 13th, while lowering his 2x2x2 Cube time to 4.40 and his one-handed mark to 33.52.

As the final timers were cleared at Janma Wellness Club, the tournament closed having highlighted the remarkable depth of the local speed cubing community.
