A Clean Sweep Caps a High-Stakes Day of Solving at Ankara June A 2025English

Twenty-five competitors arrived at Big Baker Tepe Prime ready to test their precision across 10 rounds of play. In disciplines where solving leaves zero room for error, every small slip carries a heavy price. Speedcubing demands total concentration from the opening turn, where even a slight hesitation can dismantle an entire round. The one-day cubing competition, held on June 28, 2025, delivered a relentless schedule across 5 separate disciplines, proving that consistency under pressure remains the ultimate differentiator at the tables in Ankara, Turkey.

Nowhere was that sharp focus more visible than in the performance of Ahmet Cinar Ablak, who authored an extraordinary clean sweep across the entire tournament roster. Ablak secured victory in all five events, leaving no top step unclaimed. In the main 3x3x3 Cube contest, which drew all 25 entrants through 3 rounds of play, Ablak clinched first place with a winning average of 7.51 seconds alongside the day best single of 5.66 seconds. The 3x3 results confirmed his control over the traditional Rubik's Cube category.

The 3x3x3 podium featured familiar challengers who kept the pressure on through every stage. Alim Jahangirov locked down second place with a solid average of 8.93 seconds, while Nihat Sarp Ustaoemer earned third place with an 11.19 average. The same trio battled across multiple puzzle formats throughout the day. All 15 available podium places across the gathering went to competitors representing Turkey, reflecting a tight-knit national contest where every finalist knew the high standard required to reach the top three.

Ablak extended his mastery into the rotational demands of the 4x4x4 Cube, taking the title with an average of 29.96 seconds and a best single of 28.94 across 2 rounds. Jahangirov finished as the runner-up with a 31.36 average, while Zeki Hotoglu secured third place in 1:14.59. The precision carried directly into 3x3x3 One-Handed, an 11-competitor event decided in a single round. Ablak won with an average of 14.04 and a single of 11.91, followed once more by Jahangirov at 17.09 and Ustaoemer at 25.38.

Short-format puzzles allowed Ablak to complete his dominant run at Ankara June A 2025. In the 2x2x2 Cube, contested across 3 rounds among 18 solvers, Ablak posted a winning average of 1.70 seconds with a best single of 1.50.
