Scramblers prepped puzzles beneath the venue lights while judges took their positions, setting the stage for a busy cubing competition. With eight events spread over fourteen rounds, forty-five competitors brought their best preparation to the tables, turning the cafe into a dedicated hub of speed cubing action over the late September dates in 2025.

Saturday established the tempo of the tournament with early action on both big cubes and specialized formats. Ahmet Çınar Ablak made an immediate impact by setting a relentless standard on the multi-layered puzzles. In the 4x4x4 Cube, Ablak secured top spot with a 27.91 winning average and a round-best single of 26.72, holding off Alim Jahangırov at 31.80 and Mert Sağdınç at 33.11. He carried that momentum straight into the 5x5x5 Cube, producing a 53.08 average along with a 51.30 single to finish well ahead of Sağdınç at 1:07.80 and Onur Karahan at 1:08.87.

The opening day schedule also featured single-round challenges where puzzle specialists made their presence felt. In Clock, Zeki Hotoğlu navigated the dial turns cleanly to take victory with a 9.72 average and an 8.49 best single, finishing clear of Mehmet Faruk Yılmaz at 10.37 and Jahangırov at 11.87. Meanwhile, the 3x3x3 One-Handed event saw Ablak add yet another win, delivering a 13.28 average and a 10.85 single to lead Karahan at 14.24 and Jahangırov at 14.88 in a tight contest.

Beyond the podium battles, the floor buzzed with huge personal gains that the final rankings often fail to fully show. Celal Doğa Yazıcı entered four events, logged a first official Skewb attempt of 21.31, improved his Pyraminx personal best to 6.45 for a 44.3 percent drop, and slashed his 2x2x2 Cube mark by 68.5 percent to 1.75. Ahmet Alphan Yazgan tackled three events, posting a first Pyraminx attempt of 7.94, cutting his 3x3x3 Cube best to 30.07, and lowering his 2x2x2 Cube best by 64.8 percent to 3.77. Melih Uzun took on four disciplines, earning 18th in 3x3x3 One-Handed while recording initial official marks in 3x3x3 One-Handed with 58.86, Skewb with 10.45, and 4x4x4 Cube with 2:02.91. Furkan Efe Yılmaz completed seven events, finished 12th in 5x5x5 Cube, and chopped his Skewb best by 58.4 percent to 3.53.

That same drive was on display across the rest of the roster as solvers unlocked brand new milestones. Doğa Özer competed in six events, recorded an 11th place finish in 5x5x5 Cube, registered inaugural attempts of 1:34.64 in 4x4x4 Cube and 2:18.35 in 5x5x5 Cube, and trimmed his 3x3x3 Cube best to 9.72. İsmail Akif Yazgan completed his first Pyraminx solve at 18.86 and improved his 3x3x3 Cube mark by 36.6 percent down to 26.41. Ege Efe logged a first 2x2x2 Cube single of 4.37 and lowered his 3x3x3 Cube standard to 21.05. Kerem Tahir Özmen took 5th in Skewb across five events, made his first 4x4x4 Cube run in 1:11.88, and brought his Skewb personal best down to 3.13.

As the weekend shifted into Sunday, the short-puzzle eliminations concluded after multi-round progression. In Skewb, Bora Azizoğlu emerged on top with a 3.72 winning average and a 2.53 single, outpacing Estonia competitor Mike Vidrik Rätsep at 5.21 and Karahan at 6.60. Pyraminx reached its resolution with Jahangırov locking in the gold behind a 3.94 average, holding off Karahan at 4.98 and Ömer Eymen Akar at 5.73 to secure his main triumph of the meet.

The final afternoon brought the fastest turns of the competition with the conclusion of the 2x2x2 Cube. Ablak showed sharp execution through three rounds of speedcubing, taking first place with a 2.40 average and a 1.54 single. Nihat Sarp Ustaömer followed in second with 2.82, while Karahan picked up another medal by taking third with a 3.01 average, rounding out a heavily contested bracket that saw thirty-four participants take part.

The 3x3 results confirmed Ablak as the dominant performer of the gathering, as he posted a winning average of 7.14 and a competition-low single of 5.87 to capture his fifth title. Jahangırov earned second place with an 8.07 average, while Sağdınç completed the podium in third at 8.62, giving host nation solvers twenty-three of the twenty-four podium places awarded across the tournament.

Ankara, Turkey konumundaki Gloria Cafe mekaninda 27-28 Eylul 2025 tarihlerinde gerceklesen turnuva, nefes kesen anlara ve yuksek tempolu cekismelere sahne oldu. Hafta sonu boyunca toplam 45 yarismaci 8 farkli kategoride ve 14 ayri rauntta ter doktu.

Bu buyuk Rubik Kupu bulusmasinda Ahmet Cinar Ablak birden fazla kategoride ustun bir performans sergiledi. Uc asamali 2x2x2 Cube finalinde 2.40 ortalama ve 1.54 tekil derece yakalayarak birincilige uzandi. Pyraminx kategorisinde Alim Jahangirov iki rauntluk serinin ardindan 3.94 ortalama ve 3.83 tekil derece ile birincilik elde etti. Onur Karahan 4.98 ile ikinci, Omer Eymen Akar 5.73 ile ucuncu oldu. Skewb dalinda Bora Azizoglu 3.72 ortalama ve 2.53 tekil ile zafere ulasirken, Estonya adina yarisip podyuma cikan tek yabanci sporcu olan Mike Vidrik Ratsep 5.21 ile ikinci, Onur Karahan 6.60 ile ucuncu sirayi aldi. Deniz Ozturk yedi ayri kategoride yer alarak Clock disiplinindeki ilk denemesinde 12.57 yapti; 3x3x3 Cube tekil suresini yuzde 9.9 gelistirip 9.83 kaydederken 3x3x3 One-Handed suresini yuzde 8.7 ileri tasiyarak 21.60 seviyesine getirdi ve 2x2x2 Cube icinde sekizinci oldu. Gun Mete Uysal da yedi kategoride yaristi; 4x4x4 Cube kisisel rekorunu yuzde 23.8 ilerleterek 1:03.03 yapti, 3x3x3 One-Handed suresini yuzde 11.3 gelistirip 27.32 kaydetti, 5x5x5 Cube icinde yuzde 7.5 gelismeyle 1:48.45 elde ederek sekizincilik kazandi. Ruzgar Cosar dort kategoride ter dokup Skewb dalindaki ilk denemesinde 9.70 kaydederken 2x2x2 Cube derecesini yuzde 16.1 iyilestirip 6.99 yapti.

Kariyerinin ilk WCA turnuvasinda alti kategoride mucadele eden Altug Ulutas, Skewb uzerinde ilk denemesinde 3.25, 2x2x2 Cube dalinda 6.02, 4x4x4 Cube icinde 1:49.37 yaparken 3x3x3 One-Handed icinde 16. sirada yer aldi. Yine ilk defa katilan Devran Deler dort disiplinde yer alarak 3x3x3 Cube dalinda 46.39, Pyraminx dalinda 12.08 ve 2x2x2 Cube dalinda 14.22 kaydetti. Ilk turnuva deneyimini yasayan Taha Yilmaz ise dort kategoride yarisip 4x4x4 Cube icinde 20. bitirirken, 2x2x2 Cube dalinda 9.32, 3x3x3 Cube icinde 36.79 ve Pyraminx uzerinde 10.45 kaydetti.

Toplam 24 podyum derecesinin 23 tanesini Turkiye temsilcilerinin kazandigi bu zengin hafta sonu buyuk bir heyecanla noktalandi. Gloria Cafe salonunda gerceklesen Ankara Gloria Weekend 2025, hem deneyimli isimlerin kusursuz serilerini hem de spora yeni adim atan zeka kupu meraklilarinin heyecanini ayni sahnede bulusturdu.
