AMR Planet Cube Open 2025

One hundred and twelve competitors gathered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, for a packed weekend of speedcubing that showcased dramatic progress across the board. The AMR Planet Cube Open 2025 ran across May 24 and May 25 at the AMR Planet Mall in Moula Ali, Secunderabad, featuring 10 official events and 18 rounds of intense action. Solvers of all experience levels came together to test their speed, setting fresh personal marks and attacking new disciplines over two days of high-energy competition.

The premier 3x3x3 Cube event drew a massive field of 104 competitors through three full rounds of solving. Tarak Sai Musunuri representing the USA captured the title with a winning average of 7.90 seconds, highlighted by a sharp single of 6.84 seconds. Kalidindi Hardhik Varma of India took second place with an average of 8.19 seconds, while India's Naren Ramesh rounded out the podium in third with an 8.25 average. The 3x3 results demonstrated world-class consistency at the top of the classic Rubik's Cube table.

Tarak Sai Musunuri also excelled in 3x3x3 One-Handed, securing victory across two rounds with an average of 12.75 seconds and a best single of 11.80 seconds. He led a competitive podium ahead of Rithvik Kasam of the USA, who posted a 14.06 average, and Kalidindi Hardhik Varma, who finished third with 14.25 seconds. Musunuri further expanded his medal haul across the weekend by taking second place on the 4x4x4 Cube podium with a 32.09 average and third place in the 5x5x5 Cube final with 1:11.31.

Naren Ramesh delivered an exceptional performance across the shorter puzzle formats, winning two events. In the 2x2x2 Cube, Ramesh earned first place with a 2.20 average and a best single of 1.66 seconds, finishing ahead of Musunuri at 3.04 and Dhulipudi Ajay at 3.38. Ramesh repeated his winning form in Pyraminx, taking the title with a 2.56 average and a top single of 2.22 seconds across 75 competitors. In Skewb, Udayan Latha Ramamurthi topped a field of 42 solvers, capturing first place with a 4.92 average.

Beyond the top podium steps, the weekend was defined by remarkable individual leaps and debut performances. Konda Murali Ishaan Chary registered a dramatic improvement in the 2x2x2 Cube, clocking a personal best of 10.61 seconds that was 56.2 percent faster than his prior mark of 24.23, while also recording his first ever attempt in the 3x3x3 Cube at 36.08 seconds. Vihaan Kandakatla improved his 2x2x2 Cube personal best by 26.7 percent down to 4.59 seconds, alongside first attempts in Skewb at 12.43 seconds and Pyraminx at 10.92 seconds. V. Lalith Lochan Reddy tackled 10 events, taking 6th in Skewb with a personal best of 5.21 seconds that shaved 25.5 percent off his earlier mark, while trying Megaminx at 2:49.59 and 6x6x6 Cube at 5:00.51 for the first time.

The spirit of expansion continued as Deekshith Kumar entered five events, recording his best finish of 16th place in 4x4x4 Cube on a first attempt of 47.68 seconds, while also posting first-ever official attempts in 3x3x3 One-Handed at 25.04 seconds and 5x5x5 Cube at 1:59.00. Velukati Adhvith Kumar logged his first attempts across three disciplines, putting up 32.61 in 3x3x3 Cube, 16.05 in Pyraminx, and 7.58 in 2x2x2 Cube. Hemanth Gande took on eight events and secured a 13th-place finish in Megaminx, logging first attempts in 4x4x4 Cube at 1:19.12, Megaminx at 2:24.52, and 5x5x5 Cube at 2:45.57.

The mid-sized and large cubes delivered gripping battles between Kalidindi Hardhik Varma and Ajit Kumar Kandikuppa. Varma took top honors in the 4x4x4 Cube with a winning average of 30.84 seconds and best single of 26.13 seconds, and followed up by claiming the 5x5x5 Cube title in a tight final, averaging 57.60 seconds to edge Kandikuppa's 57.66. Kandikuppa claimed third place on the 4x4x4 podium with a 37.66 average before turning the tables on the biggest puzzles.

On the largest hardware, Ajit Kumar Kandikuppa swept the big cube division with commanding displays. Kandikuppa secured victory in the 6x6x6 Cube with a 1:49.63 average, finishing ahead of Varma at 1:59.50 and Likhith Siddhartha Kathula at 2:11.23. Kandikuppa then won the 7x7x7 Cube title with an average of 2:29.74 and a single of 2:25.59, leading Varma at 3:11.49 and Vankayala Raghuram at 3:13.30. In Megaminx, Tegan Jain prevailed with a winning average of 1:00.94, outlasting Rithvik Kasam at 1:01.62 and Akula Sai Kumar at 1:19.80.

The AMR Planet Cube Open 2025 served as a testament to the thriving state of speed cubing in the region, with host nation solvers earning 23 podium positions alongside seven for the USA. From the rapid turns of the opening rounds to the endurance required for large cubes, the WCA competition highlighted personal progression across every discipline. As solvers across Telangana look ahead to the next cubing competition, the memories of breakthroughs and new benchmarks in Hyderabad set a high bar for 2025.

हैदराबाद के मौला अली स्थित एएमआर प्लैनेट मॉल में 24 और 25 मई को स्पीडक्यूबिंग का एक शानदार नजारा देखने को मिला। आयोजन स्थल पर सुबह से ही क्यूब्स के घूमने की खड़खड़ाहट गूंज रही थी और माहौल में जबरदस्त एकाग्रता छाई हुई थी। विभिन्न शहरों और देशों से आए 112 प्रतियोगी अपनी टाइमिंग सुधारने और मेज पर अपनी कला दिखाने के लिए जुटे हुए थे। कई प्रतियोगी इस रुबिक्स क्यूब प्रतियोगिता का हिस्सा बनने के लिए लंबी दूरी तय करके हैदराबाद, तेलंगाना, इंडिया पहुंचे थे। 10 अलग-अलग स्पर्धाओं और 18 राउंड्स के इस दो दिवसीय टूर्नामेंट में हर स्तर पर रोमांच बना रहा।

मुख्य स्पर्धा 3x3x3 Cube में Tarak Sai Musunuri ने अपनी अद्भुत गति का परिचय देते हुए 7.90 के औसत के साथ पहला स्थान हासिल किया। इस स्पर्धा में कुल 104 प्रतियोगियों ने तीन राउंड्स में भाग लिया। Tarak Sai Musunuri ने इस स्पर्धा का सबसे तेज सिंगल 6.84 भी दर्ज किया। फाइनल राउंड में Kalidindi Hardhik Varma 8.19 के औसत के साथ दूसरे और Naren Ramesh 8.25 के औसत के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। Tarak Sai Musunuri ने पूरे टूर्नामेंट में अपनी निरंतरता बनाए रखी।

एक हाथ से सॉल्व करने वाली स्पर्धा 3x3x3 One-Handed में Tarak Sai Musunuri ने एक बार फिर शानदार प्रदर्शन किया और 12.75 के औसत व 11.80 के सिंगल के साथ जीत हासिल की। इस स्पर्धा के पोडियम पर Rithvik Kasam 14.06 के औसत के साथ दूसरे और Kalidindi Hardhik Varma 14.25 के औसत के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। कठिन तकनीकी स्पर्धा Skewb में 42 प्रतियोगियों के बीच Udayan Latha Ramamurthi ने 4.92 के औसत और 4.46 के सिंगल के साथ पहला स्थान प्राप्त किया।

AMR Planet Cube Open 2025 का यह आयोजन कुल 23 भारतीय और 7 अमेरिकी पोडियम फिनिश के साथ संपन्न हुआ। दो दिनों के कड़े मुकाबलों, व्यक्तिगत कीर्तिमानों और शानदार टाइमिंग्स ने इस cubing competition को 2025 के सबसे यादगार टूर्नामेंट्स में शामिल कर दिया। हैदराबाद के इस मंच ने एक बार फिर साबित किया कि समर्पण और निरंतर अभ्यास से क्यूबिंग के हर प्रारूप में बेहतरीन नतीजे हासिल किए जा सकते हैं।
