A dominant showing from the host nation set the rhythm for the weekend, highlighted by a clean sweep of the 2x2x2 Cube podium where Antonie Paterakis took the gold medal with an average of 1.38 seconds ahead of fellow countrymen Twan Wieringa and Ivo Stoutjesdijk. The victory anchored a comprehensive haul of nineteen podium placements for local solvers throughout Take Your Time Ermelo 2025, which gathered 199 competitors at Sportinstituut Ermelo in Ermelo, Netherlands on October 18 and 19. Over two days of high-stakes speedcubing, the event showcased eighteen rounds across ten different official disciplines, drawing talent from across Europe and the United States to fight for top honors.

The premier 3x3x3 Cube event drew 157 competitors through three challenging rounds of classic Rubik's Cube action. Patrick Ponce of the United States delivered an exceptional performance to capture the title, finishing with a winning average of 6.20 seconds and posting the round's best single solve of 5.50 seconds. The 3x3 results solidified Ponce's commanding presence in the main brackets, as he also locked down victories in both the 4x4x4 Cube and 5x5x5 Cube, setting averages of 25.57 and 44.59 seconds respectively.

Beyond the traditional cube sizes, the competition delivered dramatic turnouts in specialty disciplines. In Square-1, Per Noordstrand topped the podium with an average of 10.39 seconds, fending off Ivo Stoutjesdijk who recorded a 10.86 average and Patrick Ponce who took third in 11.03 seconds. Mattheo de Wit claimed the Skewb crown for the host country with a 2.70 average, leading Alessandro van Burken and Belgium's Elias Malomgré across the final round of 111 competitors. Clock saw Mick Boekema secure top honors with an average of 4.24 seconds, propelled by a fast single solve of 2.61 seconds.

The side events and big puzzles brought international flavor into the mix alongside the local contenders. Germany's Imanuel Müller navigated a field of 76 solvers to claim the Megaminx title with an average of 41.54 seconds, edging out Ivo Stoutjesdijk and Mattheo de Wit. In Pyraminx, Andrey Che of Russia emerged victorious from a 122-person field with an average of 2.57 seconds, finishing ahead of Maarten Schuil and Mark Bennis. In the 3x3x3 Blindfolded discipline, solving without visual feedback demanded complete memorisation, and Jorian Meeuse captured first place with a single solve of 21.64 seconds, besting Olivier Vos and Italy's Sebastiano Tronto.

Away from the top steps of the podium, several competitors made substantial strides across diverse schedules at Take Your Time Ermelo 2025.
