Forty competitors stepped up to the tables in Istres, France, setting the early pace for the 2023 campaign as winter action got underway across eight official events. Held across January 28 and January 29 at the Halle polyvalente, Istres Open 2023 provided an immediate proving ground for solvers looking to establish their marks on the WCA competition calendar. Over thirteen rounds of intense solving, the weekend delivered rapid turnarounds, multifaceted schedules, and a clean sweep of twenty-four podium positions for host-nation athletes.
The premier 3x3x3 Cube contest, which drew thirty-nine entrants over three complete rounds, concluded with Quentin Rivault claiming the top spot on the podium. Dans l'enceinte de la Halle polyvalente à Istres, France, l'ambiance des grands jours régnait pour accueillir les passionnés de casse-tête les 28 et 29 janvier 2023.
