The performance set the stage for an intense single-day meeting where emerging talent and dedicated enthusiasts converged along the coast.

Held on January 25, 2025, the Chennai Beach House Open 2025 gathered 15 competitors at Truliv Villa Macarena in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The gathering stood out for its high proportion of newcomers and developing solvers eager to test their skills in an official WCA competition setting. Across 4 events and 4 total rounds, the intimate tournament gave both seasoned solvers and relative beginners a direct platform to post official marks on the World Cube Association circuit.

Speedcubing enthusiasts tackled a diverse four-event schedule that tested traditional solving technique alongside specialised disciplines. The lineup featured Pyraminx, Skewb, 3x3x3 One-Handed, and 3x3x3 Blindfolded, avoiding standard two-handed solving in favour of dexterity and spatial puzzles. Participants and spectators tracked the distinctive 3x3 results across the single-handed and memory-based categories, making every heat count during the packed day of speed cubing action in Chennai.

In the Pyraminx competition, Rajha Sirokshan showed commanding pace to take the top spot among a field of 14 entrants. Sirokshan recorded a winning average of 3.41 seconds and logged the single fastest solve of the event at 2.81 seconds. Nishanth Meganathan finished in second place with a steady 4.32 average, while Sai Mrudhun earned third place with a 5.27 average, rounding out an all-India podium in the popular triangular puzzle discipline.

The Skewb contest featured 13 solvers battling across a single direct final where Sahas Darsh Miglani came out on top. Miglani captured first place with an impressive winning average of 4.03 seconds, also posting the category's fastest single effort of 3.14 seconds. Siddharth Sriram pushed hard to claim the second step on the podium with a 4.99 average, and Nishanth Meganathan picked up his second medal of the day by securing third place in 5.53 seconds.

The 3x3x3 One-Handed bracket was one of the tightest contests of the Chennai Beach House Open 2025, with 12 solvers competing for the podium. Sujai Shakthivel emerged victorious with a winning average of 16.72 seconds, complemented by a lightning-fast single solve of 13.12 seconds. Nitheesh Kumar Elangovan followed closely behind in second place with an average of 17.12 seconds, while Nishanth Meganathan earned his third bronze finish of the day with an average of 17.39 seconds.

Beyond the medal table, several long-time competitors achieved massive leaps in performance during the tournament. Kishore Kumar, competing across three events, reached a top finish of 4th place in 3x3x3 One-Handed with an 18.10 average and registered a massive personal best of 5.08 seconds in Skewb, improving his previous record by 31.4 percent. Sanjay Kumar also demonstrated significant progress, entering three events, finishing 11th in Skewb, and taking his personal best down to 5.27 seconds to mark an outstanding 40 percent improvement over his prior benchmark.

With 15 total podium positions earned exclusively by Indian competitors across the four disciplines, the Chennai Beach House Open 2025 offered an engaging showcase of regional talent in Tamil Nadu. The tournament proved that focused, small-scale events can produce exceptional milestones, welcoming a new crop of competitors into the Rubik's Cube community while setting up exciting rivalries for the 2025 cubing competition calendar.
